Sampson catalogue states that Fa 3 (was Fa 2) describes: ' piccola urnetta con cinque puttini dentro a loro spartimenti, con piccola figura sopra a giacere.
Fa 3 Palazzo no. 40
Description
On the lid lies a draped man, resting his head on his left arm. In his right hand is an object, perhaps a garland or a sistrum. The body of the sarcophagus is divided into five sections by fluted pillars. In each section is a putto, loosely draped in a cloak. The putto on left carries an oscillum, the second holds out a thyrsus, while the one in centre carries a lyre and plectrum. The fourth holds a roll (?) and the one on far right has a pedum (?) in his right hand and holds a flower wreath aloft in his left.
