Description
Content (description)
A handle-less krater with knobbed lid and plain flaring foot. There is convex fluting on the belly and a band of fluting round the lip. Above the fluting of the belly stands the she-wolf suckling the twins, in relief. Over the group are the letters DM and flanking it .. RUM MUS... with the explanatory note SACRUM MUSIS flanking the foot of the vase.
