Description
The tasselled cushion is set on a square base, which has plain mouldings at top and bottom. Half-way up each corner is set a satyr mask, over which hangs a garland of fruit and leaves. A ram's head takes the place of the satyr mask at the back corner. Over the garland at the front is a tabula ansata with the inscription RESTITUIT/APOLLOI/NIUS PAL. On the side over the garland is perhaps a lotus blossom.
