Description
At the top at far left and right is a lion's head with a ring in its mouth. Beyond each head a slender vine with grapes grows up the field. Between the heads a bacchic procession moves right. A bearded Silenus on an ass with a bell round its neck leads the way, accompanied by a bearded male with a club in the background and a nude satyr with the remains of a staff and a cup in the foreground. A goat lies on the ground by the ass. After them comes Dionysus in a biga drawn by tigresses, accompanied by two draped maenads in the background. Beneath one of the tigresses is a bearded Silenus mask. On far right a satyr holds a great urn for a putto to drink from. The putto leans against a large bearded mask on the ground. The satyr straddles a lion, which lies on the ground to right and turns its head to a putto by its side. There is a basket on the ground between them
