Description
Content (description)
Pan sits on rocks on left with a large vase slung over his shoulder. He has his arm round a nymph, who is nude except for a trail of drapery round her thigh, and seems to be showing her a necklace. She sits and looks at Pan, but stretches her left hand towards a nude putto, who kneels on the ground on right with a quiver and waves to the nymph. There is a snail or horn on the ground by the nymph's foot, and a large jug stands between her and the putto. A curtain hangs behind Pan and the nymph in the background. There is a tree in the background right.
