Description
On left two females wearing short tunics and boots stand one on each side of a man who wears a toga, has his head covered, holds a cornucopia of fruit on his left arm and a globe in his right hand. In front of him stands a cista (?) with a conical top and with a snake wrapped round its base. A tree grows far left. On right is a palm tree, from which a curtain hangs into the background to right. A nude female, about to pass behind the curtain, points to a monster lying on the ground, half hidden by the curtain. On right a male makes a gesture of surprise at the monster, another figure peers down at it. In the centre a figure carries a block(?) on his head. On right grows a pine tree, at the foot of which a large cauldron stands on high rocks. A nude female kneels on right and reaches into the cauldron. On far right a small draped figure sits on an animal-legged stool on a high rock mound and seems to be writing on a tree trunk.
