Description
On left stand a female, two bearded males and a youth. There is a dog at the feet of the figure on far left. In the centre a huge boar rushes from its cave on right to attack Meleager, who levels his spear against it, two hounds at his feet. Atalanta with her quiver on her back stretches out her hands towards it. Two almost-nude men move agitatedly on the periphery on left. A bearded male stands in the background by Atalanta. A bearded huntsman stands by the head of the boar and gestures to left. Another huntsman stands on right of the cave and aims his spear at the boar. On right is a group of watching figures, perhaps deities. On far right a river god reclines at the foot of a tree, a reed growing by his knee. At top right two nymphs sit on rocks. By them a youth leans on a rock and a small seated female is attended by a small standing male.
