Description
Dionysus, wearing a vine wreath and with a skin on his left shoulder, stands holding a cup in his left hand. He looks down at a satyr, who crouches on the ground and embraces Dionysus' right leg, twisting up to gaze at the god. Behind Dionysus there appears to be a tree trunk, on which are bunches of grapes, a boar's head and a satyr mask. Behind the satyr is an unclear object, perhaps a mask or a wine jar: it has a grotesque face and gaping mouth.
