Vase on pedestal formed by three females: two views
assigned by cataloguer
Description
The large hemispherical bowl has a knobbed lid, double handles and a high foot. According to Montelatici, it is of alabaster. It stands on a pedestal which consists of three nude females who stand facing inwards around a central pillar which is treated in relief as a cascade of drapery. The females raise their arms as if supporting the vase.
