Description
In centre large pedimented doorway with leaves elaborately decorated in relief, one standing ajar. On each side spiral-fluted columns support and arch. In arch on right an old bearded male and a child carrying ritual objects accompany a male wearing a late-style toga and holding a roll and a branch. In arch on left a female with her head covered gestures with her left hand to the other end of the sarcophagus. She is attended by a female and a child carrying a box. A curtain hangs in the background. Between the doorway and the arches stand two winged males on round bases, wearing cloaks and garlands and holding in the hand nearest the door a branch, in the other a basket of fruit or flowers. Above and behind each of them appears a draped winged female figure.
