Description
The procession moves right. On left comes Dionysus seated on back of springing tigress, her neck garlanded with vine leaves. A tiger cub is by her side. Pan leads the way, a putto on the ground by his hoof. In the background behind Dionysus stand a satyr and a bearded male wearing a lionskin on his head and carrying a flaming torch. On far left follow two females, one carrying ears of corn and a cornucopia full of fruit and flowers. On right Silenus reclines on the back of an ass and plays a lyre as two satyrs in the background look after him. Far right a female makes an offering of a large bird at a burning altar, accompanied by a female holding a torch.
