Content (description)
Semele lies on her side on a bed, beneath which stands a large bowl. On left a female moves left looking back at her. In background two females attend to baby Dionysus while a third exclaims in surprise. Behind her far right stands Hermes with his caduceus. A curtain hangs in the background.
