Description

Content (description)

Two griffins sit facing one another, each resting one paw on the rim of a large krater, which has a fluted bowl and acanthus leaves around its neck. It is supported on a floral scroll and a palmette of acanthus leaves rises out of it. At each end of the relief an elaborate candelabrum stands, hung with leafy garlands.
