Description
A curved sarcophagus with a protome of a leaping lion at each end. Across the front are two nude putti and two loosely draped Psyches, all winged, as Seasons. From left, a Psyche wearing a leafy garland holds a vine(?) cornucopia and a brace of duck, then a putto wearing a flower garland holds a basket of flowers and two dangling objects. Next a Psyche wearing a corn garland holds a sheaf of corn and a putto with a vine garland holds a vine cornucopia and an enormous bunch of grapes. Along the bottom of the relief, from left, a bird pecks fruit, a hen pecks flowers, then there is a small animanl ( a sheep or rabbit?), a goat, and a small animal (rabbit?) by a basket of grapes.
