Description
Pan, carrying a reed, leads the procession. Behind him comes a putto riding on a camel and a maenad carrying a covered dish, who looks back to left over her shoulder. A putto and a ram fight at her feet. Then comes a maenad who blows a curved horn, followed by a small Pan with a reed, and behind him a tall bearded male with a club carries a standing putto. Two lions, one with a putto riding on its back, draw the carriage in which Dionysus is seated. A maenad in the background behind the lions clashes her crotola, followed by a martial female with flying drapery. A putto pushes a wheel of the carriage. On far left comes a soldier in armour.
