Description
The battle scene, which is rather damaged, is flanked by trophies, at the foot of each of which sits a youthful captive. In the centre of the relief is shown a clash of horsemen, while another horseman rides up on left and right.
At bottom left a nude man slides from the back of his fallen horse. Bottom centre there is a wounded man on the ground, next to a youth who fights on foot, his back to the viewer. On right a fallen horse and rider lie in a heap. Further right a bearded soldier presses the head of a fallen man and prepares to strike him with his sword. In the background a soldier on horseback draws his sword.
