Description
Luna, her drapery billowing, dismounts from her chariot to right, while a winged female holds the heads of her prancing horses; on the back of one horse stands a putto. A small female with flying drapery flies to hold the edge of Luna' s drapery as it billows over her head. Endymion lies on right with a pedum in his hand. Two putti and two winged males lead Luna to him. A sheep lies by his feet, a ram by Luna's chariot. A female with billowing drapery stands far right by Endymion's head, her sinus full of fruit. Top right a small chariot pulled by bulls is driven right by a female on clouds (?); a bearded old man reclines on left of it. Top left Sol races up to right from clouds in his quadriga over a section of zodiac; there is a putto with torch or cornucopia on right of the horses. On left a shepherd sits on rocks with two goats on the ground by him. A half-draped female holding a laden cornucopia sits beneath Luna's horses, a putto by her knee.
