Description
On left nude Dionysus, supported by a satyr and helped by a maenad, steps from his chariot, which is drawn by two centaurs with garlands round their bellies, an old one carrying a lyre and a young one with a horn. A putto holding a burning torch kneels on the back of the old centaur. On far left a satyr carries an infant Pan on his shoulder. The centaurs are preceded to right by a half-draped maenad holding a roll (?) and a bunch of grapes, a nude youth with a drape over one shoulder, brandishing his club as he dances, and Pan, prancing right but looking left and carrying a large jug.
