Description
Content (description)
On far left a man, woman and a horse look up at an object on a high base beneath a tree. Next, a youth is brought forcibly by two youths before a general who is seated on right on a throne with winged-lion legs. In the background a woman holds a baby, which reaches towards the general. A soldier stands on guard in the background right. Next, a draped woman with her head covered and a half-draped man sit together on a couch; two columns in the background roughly frame this group. A youth wearing a cloak and carrying a staff leads a horse to right, preceded by a youth in a short tunic and with a staff over his shoulder. He converses with a bearded old man, who sits on rocks far right, draped and with his head covered. Above, on far right, a nymph reclines on clouds(?), holding an overturned urn on her knee and looking down on the proceedings below.
