Description
In the centre, Dionysus, wearing a vine garland, sits in his chariot pulled to right by two tigers. By his side a maenad plays the tympanum and bearded Pan trots to right, carrying a club over his shoulder. Before them goes Silenus on an ass, holding a wide basket of grapes on his head. A tall basket of grapes lies on the ground. A maenad leads the way to right and another, playing pipes, follows Silenus. Behind Dionysus' chariot kneels a putto, leaning on a wheel. Then come a satyr carrying pipes and club and a maenad playing crotola. On far right, cut by the border, stands a maenad holding a bat-like object.
