Content (description)

a) a round base with a moulding and a frieze of boukrania and rosettes at the top, a meander frieze and floral mouldings at the bottom. The body in between is plain. A very similar if not the same, base is illustrated in the Coner drawings, with the caption Nel giard. del GDa (the Grand Duke). BSR II 1904 drawing 128
b) rectangular altar with voluted top. It is viewed obliquely from right, and on right side is a bundle of rods in relief. On the front is a relief showing a man in a toga standing facing the viewer, a boar at his feet. On far left a small nude torso stands at the foot of a tree. The voluted top is decorated with the bust of a woman in a shell, supported by two dolphins.
c) A round base standing on a square plinth. It is ornamented with four bands of moulding above, one below. The body is decorated with leafy garlands which hang from the mouths of lion masks, with a large and elaborately decorated patera over each garland.
d) A round base decorated with the heads of Sol and Luna. See Bm 3.18
