Description
The drawing shows two fragments of a frieze set closely together. The fragment on left shows two victimarii leading a bull to right for sacrifice. There are three minor figures in the background.
In the larger fragment on right are four standing figures, now identified as members of the Julio-Claudian family. On far left a draped female sits on a rock, but half of the figure is lost at the break. Next to her a man in a cloak and a cuirass, his right arm raised (once on a spear), turns to right, where a half-drpaed youth holds out his right arms towards him. Then a draped female, wearing a diadem and holding an infant (?) on her arm, turns to right, where stands a half-draped man, crowned with a wreath. He rests his left leg on a rock and once rested his right hand on a spear.
