Description

Content (description)

a) The statue of a nude bearded warrior, with a cloak slung over his left shoulder, wearing a helmet and his scabbard by his left side. His left hand is raised to his shoulder, his right arm is stretched out at his side, once holding a sword. Behind his legs is a tree trunk over which drapery seems to be hung, but this is not clear.
b) One of the panels from the triangular base in Bm 9. 31. It shows a winged putto, his cloak spreading behind him, holding an object, perhaps a helmet, over his head as he moves right.
c) The third panel of the same base, also decorated with a winged putto, who carries a large shield (?) as he moves right out of the relief, his cloak flying.

Content (note)

The statue of the warrior is Ulysses no.w in Museo Archeologico, Venice inv.98
