Relief (?): two males with lyres before herm

Description
On right a bearded old male sits to let leaning on his lyre by the side of a table. On the table is a jug. A curtain hangs behind. He points to a youth, who sits in centre to left and looks round to the old male. The youth is playing his lyre. A garland hangs in two swags behind him. On far left stands a herm of Hermes, wearing a petasos and a drape over his shoulders. In the background stands an altar, decorated with garland.

In Sampson catalogue has been added: 'v little of white heightening has oxidised. cf. the lamentable condition of Bn 9. 48 the Portland Vase Dwg.' in fact, in 2013 the white heightening of Bn. 10. 47 has almost disappeared.
