Description

Content (description)

The arch has three passages, the central one higher than the others, has victories in the spandrels. Four columns stand on projecting bases in front of the facade. The central ones support a pediment over the central passage. Two river gods recline in the pediment; two sea-centaurs are acroteria, but facing outwards they support another entablature and a plain pediment. The top of the arch seems to be curved and to be covered with tiles: on it stand four statues on bases. DA ORANGO written below the arch. Also minute, detailed measurements within the arches and along the right hand edge.
