The volume Bn 11, entitled Vase antiche, is devoted entirely to vases, some antique, but mostly fanciful products after the antique. A large number of the engravings have the initials AE. V and the representation of fanciful vases fall into three groups, distinguished by the inscriptions (a) sic Romae antiqui sculptores ex aere et marmore faciebant,
(b) ex Romanis antiquitatibus,
(c) Romae ab antiquo repertum

Description
The amphora stands on a flared foot. Its neck is fluted and it has high handles, which rise from leafy fronds on the shoulder and curve down to the fluted lip, with bearded masks at the junctions. The body is divided into three friezes, which are separated by various mouldings. In the bottom frieze two nude putti hold a shell between them, while a putto and a winged Pan bend to pick up a shell and a sphere (?) respectively. In the next band garlands of fruit and leaves hang from the mouth of a lion's head, from which flutter fillets; there is a patera over each garland. In the top frieze floral scrolls issue from a horned animal's head.
