Content (description)

Ocean, half-draped, and with an oar (?) over his right shoulder, leans his left arm on a sea-monster. Waves billow beneath the figure.
Top left is the following inscription:
AMICE QUAM TU HIC EFFIGIEM SPECTATU RARAM DEMIRARIS/OCEANI EST, ANNIS SUPERIORIB. ROMAE REPERTA AD/ ARCUM CAMPILIANI UBI ANTE NILI ET TIBERIS/ QUOR. NUNC IN VATICANO INTRA PONTIFICUM/HORTIS VISUNTUR IMAGINES. SED HUIUSCE/SPECTATU DIGNUM SIMULACHRUM NUNC/ IN AEDIBUS IO. BAPTISTAE ET IO. VINCENTII/FABIORUM ROMAE AD SARRAE AREAM VIS/ITUR INTERIM.
