The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'
Description
Meleager, wearing a cloak clasped round his shoulders and over his left arm, stands with his weight on his right leg. The spear he held in his left hand is now lost. On his left a great boar's head rests on a tree trunk. There is another tree trunk by his right leg and a dog sits by it gazing up.
Beneath the base of the statue is the following inscription:
Antiquum, ex pario marmore, in aedibus Hadriani Episcopi Aquinatis, et numerisomnibus absolutum, et omnium quae multis ab hinc annis aruta Romae sunt integerrimum simulacrum/ con gratia et privilegio Ant. Lafrerius Sequanus R. MDLV
Beneath the base of the statue is the following inscription:
