Content (description)

The reconstruction by Du Perac shows four circular storeys decreasing in diameter upwards. In the upper three storeys are statues in niches and on top is a seated statue holding a globe. Two pairs of trees flank each upper storey and two obelisks are set before the entrance.
Beneath the Mausoleum is the inscription: MAUSOLEI AB AUGUSTO IMP SIBI POSTERISQ SUIS ROMAE EXTRCUCTI CUICU RUI/ NAE PROPE AEDEM D ROCJI EXTANT ACCURATISS DELINEATIO A STEPHANO DU PERAC PARISIENSI DESCRIPTA/
