The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'
Description
The arch is shown with a sacrifice scene beneath the attic, on left a submission scene, on right a sacrifice. The passage reliefs are suggested. Unlike Bn. 12 no. 25.1 the paving is only beneath the passage and is not chequered
In the attic is the inscription:
SENATUS/POPULUS QUE ROMANUS/ DIVO TITO DIVI VESPASIANI F/ VESPASIANO AUGUSTO
and engraved on the ground lower right: ANT. LAFRERI/SEQUANUS.EXCUD. ROMA/M D XLVIII
