The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'
Description
The actual state of the tomb is shown. It stands on a high socle, which is very worn so that only traces of the inscriptions on it remain. On the upper part of the tomb are six fasces and a curule chair in relief and a large panel bearing an inscription to be found in ILS no. 1127 and CIL VI 1343 showing the tomb to be that of M.Antonius Antius Lupus. According to ILS the tomb was destroyed at the end of the 16th century.
Along the lower edge is the inscription: Antiquum, Ostiensi via, sepulchrum marmoreum, amplum, quadratum, ad tertium ab urbe lapidem, fascium ac securium, et aliis ornamentis insigne/ Antonij Lafreri Formis Romae 1551
