The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'
Description
A large group of draped figures, mainly male, face towards altars on the right. The upper right altar has a flame with a cow being led to it.
Along the lower edge of the engraving is the inscription: His et talibus monumentis olim ornata fuit illa M. Antonii ubique memorata columna ex qua haec quae vides expressa sunt cetera visurus nisi ob eiusdem columnae incendium desiderarentur. Ant. Lafreri formis MDLXV.
At bottom right corner of the altar: LD.
