The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'

Content (description)

Around the large inscription are shown in relief, two standards, military decorations, prophetic chickens in a cage and an eagle. The inscription itself is to be found in CIL XIV 2523 and ILS no. 2662.
Beneath the inscription and decoration is the smaller inscription: IN AEDIB. FEDERIC CARD DE CAESIS SUB VATICANO/ TABULA MARM COHORTIUM SIGNIS DUOBUS AQUILAQ LEGIONARIA ATQUE ALIIS CUM INSTRUMENTIS BELLICIS TUM CAVEA PULLARIA/ INSCRIPTIONIBUSQ PERELEGANTIBUS INSIGNIS ANT LAFRERI FORMIS EXACTISSIME DELINEATA ROMAE MDLI
