The volume Bn 12 is described in Fa 4 as : 'Speculum Romanae Magnificentiae in loose sheets being points of ye most famous remains of buildings, amphitheatres, temples, columns, triumphal arches, mausoleums and statues in Rome - engraved by Lafrerius, Barlachus, Aen. Vicus and others'
Description
In the upper part of the engraving is a view of the tomb in its actual state. In the lower storey are two windows, in the upper storey columns and pilasters support the pediment and flank a niche in the centre. In the lower part of the engraving is the ground plan of the tomb, with a coat of arms on left.
In a shell topped scroll on the right is the inscription: MONUMEN/TUM/ Q VERANNII/ IN VIA/ APPIA
Inscribed below the plan: Ill D. Joan. Forget de beau-regard D. Cof (?) girolamo denovi Lafreri D. D. Romae and, very faint at lower right: Iannine (?) Orlandi f.
