Description
This plan of Capua shows the ancient buildings reconstructed. All are numbered, but there is no key. At top right a curtain hangs in two swags behind the title panel, around which are arranged symmetrically oval and round panels showing views. Across the top of the curtain are the words CAPUT URBIUM. The title panel itself is topped by the figure of a deer and the words NUMEN ERAT IAM CERVA LOCI.
