Description

Content (description)

60. Among the figures, who move to right, are three children. From the Ara Pacis.
61.The procession moves to right, headed by two flamines and a lictor, who are followed by Agrippa and Julia. From the Ara Pacis.
62. On left standa group of figues and a boy with the statue of a Lar by a blazing altar. On right a victimarius kneels and pulls down the head of a bull, helped by another man on right. Men stand in the background. From the Ara Pietatis.
63. A procession moves left two deep towards the sacrifice.
63a. The figures move left headed by a youth who carries an incense box. On right a very young child holds a man's hand and grabs the toga of the man in front.
The dedication runs all the way along beneath the sheets. It reads:
ILL.MO DOM.NO MEO COLEND.MO/ DOM.NO FRANCISCO BALLATO/ Bernardinus Capitellius/ Dedicat Consecratque. The rest is a dedicatory address in the usual style, ending with the date February 1633 on Bn. 14. 63
