The two sides of the gem, which is oval, are set in frames of oak leaves with fillets tied in bows on top. On left, two male heads, over-lapping one another, are shown to right. The one in the foreground wears a laurel wreath on his short hair. On right a bearded head faces left, wearing a laurel wreath. In the centre of the side of the gem on right Jupiter, half-draped, sits to left on his throne with his left hand raised on his staff. On left and right stands a draped female, each holding a staff.
