Content (description)

The two herms stand behind one another on a base, on which are three dice on left and a basket partly hidden on right. In the foreground is the herm of a satyr with a vine wreath on his head and wearing a fringed cloak over his right shoulder and arm, then round his waist and over his left wrist. He points into a cloth bag, which hangs from his right shoulder on a strap. The herm in the background on left has a gaunt bearded face. He wears a cloak and has his head covered. He holds a cloth in his left hand.
Inscribed on the pedestal at the front, as if on a torn notice: MAISON/ A. VER
