Description
Content (description)
Across the bottom of the plinth three putti hold garlands with flying fillets; over the garlands are winged Medusa heads. At each corner is an acanthus scroll. On the side of the plinth two Victories, each holding an ornate shield over her head, hold a roundel in the centre. The roundel is decorated with wave pattern and a laurel wreath and has a band running diagonally across it with the letter SPQR. There is armour above and below the roundel.
