A draped female stands at each end facing outwards. On right Pluto drives off with Proserpine in his quadriga to right over the recumbant figure of Tellus. Hermes, half-draped, leads the way and a putto flying over the horses points the way with a blazing torch. In the centre in front of a curtain, Athena and two nymphs watch their departure.
