Description
Across the background of the relief garlands hang from lion heads. On left is shown the short side of the sarcophagus: three putti move right, one supporting his drunken companion; there is a vase on left. At each end of the front of the sarcophagus a putto stands holding a basket of fruit aloft on his left hand. Two putti assist a drunken companion. In the centre another putto tips the contents of an amphora into a krater. Next a putto plays crotala and on right a putto supports a drunken friend, who holds a horn on high.
