Description
Dionysus, half draped and wearing a vine wreath, reclines on the back of a panther, which bounds to right, looking back over its shoulder at the god. Dionysus carries a thyrsus and holds out a cup. An infant Pan sits beneath the panther, eating grapes. There is a large plant on right and on far right a gaping mask on a rock. Four figures in the background accompany the god to right. On right is a bearded Pan wearing a skin and holding a pipe; next is a satyr with a bunch of grapes; the third, a satyr, wears a wreath of vine leaves and grapes and carries a thyrsus, while lastly a young Pan wears a skin and carries a pipe.
