Description
The two strigil panels on the front of the sarcophagus flank a large central doorway. Two spirally-fluted columns support the pediment over the door, and in it recline two half-draped females, one holding a rudder, the other a cornucopia. The acroteria are tritons with long coiled tails, each blowing a horn towards the centre. The two leaves of the door, one of which is ajar, are each divided into two panels, and in each panel is a lion's head. At each end of the sarcophagus is a spirally-fluted column.
