Description
Isis wears a chiton and a fringed himation knotted between her breasts. Her hair is parted in the centre and drawn back, then falls in ringlets over her shoulders. Over her head she wears a fringed drape and a headdress which consists of a crescent moon, a disk and two leaves or feathers (?) In her left hand she holds a slim urn, in her right she lifts a sistrum. By her right leg stands Harpocrates, a small boy, wearing a cloak over his left shoulder and holding a cornucopia of fruit on his left arm. He holds the index finger of his right hand to his lips. The two figures stand on a low pedestal in the form of a rock, on the front of which is the inscription ////OMARIUS MAROD.
