assigned by cataloguer
Description
The relief is worked on the upper part of a panel with projecting borders above and below. On left and right are six vertical fasces, with their animal-headed axes facing to centre. In the centre is a seat with animal legs topped by bulls' heads, against which lean two males with fishy tails. Over each bull's head rises a panel with a standing nude figure in relief, the figure on the left with wings; beyond these panels on the outside are two square panels with a head in relief facing the centre. In the central panels four tritons rise from the waves, the middle two holding a shell, in which is Venus. The seat is cushioned. In the space above the seat is a sceptre surmounted by an eagle with wings outspread.
