Content (description)

Drawing of an ancient ceiling.
In the centre is a circle with Jupiter seated on a cloud, with drapery covering his lower limbs and his right shoulder: in his uplifted right hand he holds a thunderbolt.
Single figures in the corner circles within triangles.
Eight square panels around the central circle.
Pencil sketch lines visible around circle.

Ashby gives the dimensions as 334 square (but Ashby has described the wrong ceiling here, confusing Bn 6. 5 with Bn 6. 6)
