Content (description)

The figure decoration is shown as if on a flat frieze and is also in reverse. Over the masks are the words ANSA VASIS
Bottom left: ILLmo DNO AUGUSTO CHIGIO/ SUMMA OBSERVANTIA COLEmo/Bernardinus Capitellius D.
Very long inscription below figures which is a dedicatory address and records the vase 'inter pretiosiss.mas Eminentiss.mi Cardinalis Barberini delicias' and bears the date April 1633
