Physical description

The Cross is set on a stem of similar hexagonal form to its matching candlesticks, on a high hexagonal foot. The Cross has a central plaque with cast silver figure of Christ on cross on a blue enamel background. Each arm ends with a cast figure of an angel set against blue enamel background. Fine beading on straight edges of cross.

Given by Lady Powell in 1925 in memory of Charles Fitzgerald Wood (at Eton 1866-1869) drowned in the summer holidays of 1869.
