Made in France, the stem of this chalice is divided by a spirally fluted knop; above and below the knop are bands of flowers. The circular paten has a quatrefoil depression and a cross in a circle engraved on the rim.
The chalice and paten were presented to Eton College by Sir John Henry Brunel Noble (1859–1937).

Chalice: Silver gilt, French, plain tapering bowl. Stem divided by spirally fluted knop. Above and below knop is a band of flowers. Circular flaring foot with engraved cross pattern in circle and band of punched quatrefoils.
Paten: Silver gilt, circular with quatrefoil depression. Cross in circle engraved on rim.
