Wrought iron chandelier, three spiral-twist chains with rings, pierced and scalloped central ring cast with a trefoil, flanked by Eton lilies, six lights with drip-pans; fitted for electricity
Comments
This is one of a set of two Arts and Crafts style chandeliers. These are not the chandeliers seen in the photograph of Election Hall published in the 'Country Life' article on Eton College by Christopher Hussey (1926) but are later replacements. Sculptor Colin Mantripp of Lillyfee carved the lily decorations, created molds and then cast them in white metal.
